Step 1: Concept & Design

• The journey begins with a personal consultation to understand your vision, preferences, and story.

• Sketches and concept drawings are created to explore proportions, aesthetics, and design possibilities—including the integration of intricate elements.

• For example, a bespoke snake ring project featured over a hundred individual pieces, including sculpted scales, layered petals, and delicately formed leaves. Each scale was crafted and added individually, bringing the design to life with incredible texture and depth.

• CAD models may be generated to preview the design in detail, ensuring the vision translates precisely into the final piece.

Step 2: Stone Sourcing & Preparation

• Stones are sourced to meet the design’s vision and quality expectations. For this particular project, the goal was to create a piece with exceptional brilliance and color.

• While standard yellow diamonds can appear brownish and dark-toned, the decision was made to use deep lemon yellow diamonds—chosen for their brighter, purer hue and more appealing, vibrant appearance.

• The piece also features pigeon blood quality rubies, known for their rich, vivid red and outstanding saturation, adding a luxurious focal point to the design.

• To ensure perfect balance, the twin rubies were carefully matched for color and saturation. When an exact match couldn’t be found, the stones were recut in-house to achieve harmony and symmetry.

• Select rough stones are also cut or re-finished to enhance their natural brilliance and character.

Step 3: Accurate Sizing & Model Confirmation

• Each brand’s sizing standards can vary slightly. While this may not significantly affect a simple, slender 3mm band, it can have a considerable impact for complex designs.

• Designs with embedded mechanisms, wide bands (5mm or more), or thicker, heavier rings can feel noticeably different and may not fit as expected when using standard sizing.

• At Tsu’s, we mail customers our standard ring sizer to ensure precise measurement. Each ring is meticulously adjusted and checked before shipping to guarantee a perfect fit.

• For intricate designs—such as the custom snake ring with individually sculpted scales, embedded springs, and floral elements—a resin model in multiple sizes is mailed to the client. This allows for hands-on confirmation of size and design detail before casting, ensuring both comfort and accuracy.

Step 5: Detail Carving, Stone Setting & Polishing

• After casting, the ring undergoes meticulous polishing to reveal crisp, clean forms and prepare the surface for detailed work.

• Each snake scale is carefully carved deeper and refined under a microscope, ensuring lifelike texture and dimensionality.

• Stones, such as in the snake’s eyes, are precisely set to complement the design, enhancing the piece without overshadowing its intricate craftsmanship.

• Polishing continues under magnification, ensuring every surface is flawlessly finished and every curve and edge feels luxurious to the touch.

• The result is a perfect balance of bold design, refined detail, and exceptional comfort.

Step 6: Final Inspection, Marking & Approval

• Before completion, the ring’s size is carefully checked once more to confirm perfect fit, ensuring no deviation from the client’s specifications.

• A discreet hallmark is applied, detailing the metal type, gemstones used, and their total weight—providing both authenticity and a record of craftsmanship.

• The ring is marked with Tsu’s brand logo, signifying its origin and the artistry behind its creation.

• A final, detailed inspection under magnification ensures that every element—carving, stone setting, polish, and engraving—is flawless.

• Only after passing these meticulous checks is the ring ready to become a cherished, one-of-a-kind piece.
