At Tsu’s, every piece is a fusion of timeless craftsmanship and modern precision. From initial sketches to the final polish, each creation reflects mastery of both ancient techniques and contemporary methods, brought together with care and intention.

Design & Concept

Every design begins with a hand-drawn sketch or CAD model, exploring proportions, curves, and relationships between metal and stone.
Wax models are either hand-carved or 3D-printed, ensuring perfect proportions before casting.

Casting & Metal Preparation

Wax models are transformed into metal using the lost-wax casting technique, capturing every detail with precision.
Scanning and reverse engineering techniques are used to ensure perfect proportions and to recreate or enhance existing pieces with accuracy—essential for custom requests or heirloom projects.
A range of premium materials is used: 24K, 18K, and 14K gold; platinum; fine silver; and rare alloys like shakudō and shibuichi for select designs.

Lapidary & Faceting

Select gemstones are cut or re-finished in-house to reveal their natural brilliance and unique character.
Faceting transforms rough stones into precise, light-catching forms, while cabochon cutting highlights texture and color.
Each cut is designed to harmonize with the jewelry design, ensuring a perfect marriage of gem and metal.

Engraving Mastery

Precision hand engraving is a signature of Tsu’s creations, incorporating techniques such as:
• Gold Inlay & Overlay – Adding contrast and depth.
• Bulino – Creating fine textures and lifelike imagery.
• Relief Engraving – Sculpting dimensional designs.
Each cut is made with intent, adding story and character to the piece.

Patina Artistry – Shakudō & Niage

For select creations, traditional Japanese alloys like shakudō and shibuichi are used.
Through the niage process (using rokusho solution), these metals develop a deep, enduring black patina with hints of purple and blue—an art form rarely seen in modern jewelry.

Stone Selection & Setting

Each gemstone is hand-selected and set with care, ensuring brilliance, durability, and harmony with the design.
Settings include prongs, bezels, pavé, and custom solutions for unique cuts.

Finishing & Polishing

The final stages reveal the metal’s natural luster and the gemstone’s brilliance.
Every piece undergoes a meticulous inspection, ensuring durability, balance, and flawless presentation.
